Our approach

Supporting Practitioner Focussed Ethical Practice
Pinewave offers a calm, boundaried space that supports structured reflective practice with enhancing practical clinical and critical thinking.
Reflective
We provide reflective space to find meaning in your work: process, and understand processes like transference, countertransference, parallel process, and your use of self.
Formulation‑led
Clear case formulation and hypotheses, aligned to your modality (CBT, psychodynamic, systemic, integrative, etc.). The services promote evidence informed practice.
Ethics & risk
Support is offered with managing boundaries, safeguarding, documentation, and complex decision‑making.

What a typical session looks like
- Check‑in (2–5 mins): what's most important today?
- Case focus (30–40 mins): presentation → formulation → interventions → risk/ethics.
- Process (10–15 mins): therapeutic relationship, patterns, your responses.
- Next steps (5 mins): concrete actions, reading/reflection prompts, documentation.
